These capsules are easy to swallow and came packaged well, there was no loose power inside the bottle like other supplements I’ve received. I have noticed slight energy boost as well as mood boost when I take these supplements. I really like how small the supplement is and the power is well compressed inside the capsule. I’m very impressed with the quality of the product.I've never taken Maca supplements before, but I've been trying out some different vitamins and supplements lately, so I thought to give it a shot. There are numerous mind and body benefits listed for Maca. I'm no expert, so I recommend just trying a Google search if you want to know more than what's listed in the product description.I've only been taking these for 2 weeks. At this point, it's difficult for me to say if I've experienced any of the benefits. Maybe slightly, but no "night and day" changes. I haven't had any negative side effects, but from my personal research of Maca, those are pretty rare.The pill itself is small and easy to swallow. I sometimes have trouble swallowing pills, but had 0 issues with this one. There is a slight smell/taste that some might find unappealing, but it's fairly minor, and there is no lingering aftertaste.The biggest negative is the price. It seems kind of high for only 60 pills. If budget is an issue, maybe browse around, but if not, I'd recommend giving them a try.Awesome to find a potent and standardized extract of maca! The capsules are teeny tiny and easy to take. The bottle definitely smells like maca. I highly recommend, maca is one of my favorite adaptogens and makes me feel a lot more alive truly. This seems to give me a noticable amount of energy when I do take it, just nothing crazy as it takes time to notice results.My naturopath recently recommended I take maca but wanted me to take a large amount of powdered maca, which has a difficult taste and texture. I was really excited to see this as an option since it only requires one small capsule daily because of its concentrated form.I was really impressed by the packaging. The small bottle says two things about the company: 1) They are thoughtful and put thought into this product and its packaging. So many supplement companies are using standard packaging and even just marketing the same product under different labels. 2) They care about the earth and the people living on it. I like companies that put that thought into action and actually make a difference by producing a small bottle instead of a standard supplement bottle that is four times larger than needed.Why do I like this particular maca? Nootropics seems dedicated to quality manufacturing. They also run a dedicated facility and do a lot of research on supplements so they are not just producing what is currently popular. Also, even though this tiny bottle may seem expensive at over $30, its actually a two-month supply at only one capsule a day. They could have bottled this into two large bottles and charged $20/bottle and people might "feel" they are getting a better deal, but Nootropics cared more about delivering a powerful product in the right packaging. They are taking a bet that those of us who try it will feel the difference in this maca and be impressed enough to believe in the product more than the marketing.So far, I am. I'm really pleased with the boost I'm seeing so far in my energy levels. I plan to buy this again and continue using it. It seems to be giving me the benefit of maca without the mess and difficulty of taking the raw powder.I love Maca. It has numerous health benefits and what to highlight depends on you. However, for years I have used Maca in the form of a powder. I did not like the powder much taste wise and hated the hassle of finding ways to ingest it. Therefore, I have found this is perfect in the form of a capsule. Each serving is more than enough that I would need the powder anymore and I will get the same health benefit in the matter of seconds.Gelatinized maca is around 1% macamides. This maca extract is standardized to 5%. So essentially each 1 capsule serving of this (200mg) is the equivalent of 1000mg gelatinized maca powder. If you need maca in the most convenient way possible - with guaranteed potency - this is the product for you.I personally like the taste of gelatinized maca, and it causes no digestive issues for me - so for me, gelatinized maca powder is a much better value. I typically take 2-3 grams of gelatinized maca and it's the equivalent of 2-3 capsules of this product.Effects:The effects are great, and just as good as gelatinized maca. More energy, boost in "men's health", mood boost. Maca works very well for me, and it's great to finally see a high quality maca extract on the market. NootropicsDepot supplements are always great quality, and they do more rigorous lab testing to guarantee purity and potency than any company I know.I really like all the supplements that I've ordered from this brand, and this maca supplement is no exception. I do genuinely feel that this supplement, in conjunction with the other mood and energy support supplements that I've been taking, have really been helping the way that I feel on a day-to-day basis. And I have come to really trust the quality of this brand, and all of their supplements.Arrived with two safety seals, which I definitely appreciate. The capsules are easy to swallow and there’s not a lot of extra ingredients. Too soon to notice any changes. Will update after awhile.
