Would have given 5 stars, but giving 4 stars for the following issue: The serving size says 1 heaping teaspoon, 50 servings per bag.My husband, age 60, has been using this as directed. 1 heaping teaspoon in his shake in the morning. However, today is just day 14, and the bag is almost empty! There are about 5 or 6 teaspoons left in the bottom of the bag.There are NOT 50 servings per bag, maybe 20 at the most.This is very disappointing because he says he loves how he is feeling on this blend of maca. He has a noticeable different in his performance if you know what I mean, by week #2.We will buy it again, because its a great blend of Maca for men, but the serving sizes are definitely inaccurate.I like this maca. Significantly better than the capsules of maca I took when first introduced to maca. Lots of stamina and endurance. Good taste when mixed in a cub of very warm water. I don't like that blonde maca is included. They advertised red n black (and purple). The taste, however. Puke. Lost a star for the taste. I mix it with juice & it doesn't mix well & still powers through. Really tough but worth it.I ONLY RATED 4 STARS BECAUSE I WISH THERE IT WAS MORE FOR THE PRICE OR EVEN A BIGGER SIZE TO PURCHASE.I have used several Macas. All colors. This one has a soft taste to it. Nice.I've been using Maca for around 10 years now. I've tried various blends and types and this one works best for me. Mainly black Maca, this is great for body building as it is an anabolic adaptogen and not only a plant but also a food. With many compounds such as macamides and macaenes, it serves various purposes that suit my needs.This is one of the more potent types. I use 80-100 mg which is sufficient for me.I cycle this 5-2 or 3-1 for a month and take a week or two off.It can be very stimulating and cause insomnia or even anxiety when overdone. Listen to your body. Enjoy this great superfood!Oh man, this maca tastes so good in a smoothie. You don't need much of it and I find it lasts quite a long time contrary to what I have been reading. It mixes well in oatmeal or in a smoothie and it's very good quality product. I ordered a second one because I liked it so much.I wish I could say it did all those wonderful things that a lot of these articles proclaim it will do. Unfortunately for me I did not have a good experience taking maca.The reason I am writing a review is to remind anyone considering maca to do very extensive research on the side effects. It affects everyone differently. I actually liked the taste - I had a teaspoon in chia pudding... optimistic that it would have wonderful benefits over the next few weeks. A few hours in, I start to feel like I’m going through insane PMS, and as the hours went on I felt extremely irritable and uncomfortable. I have found a few forums that I didn’t see prior to this experience and see that many others (of different ages and genders) have had weird experiences like this. I felt so awful and edgy by the end of the day and didn’t want to even risk having to go through that for another day.A lot of people commented on the depression and anger they felt - if you experience this.... just don’t take it.I cannot give this product a 5 star yet until I experience its good benefits. I just got this on the mail today and had my first try with a glass of orange juice during lunch. I have to say that it did not alter the taste of my drink at all except for the color of course. I have high hopes that this product would help regulate my cycle and balance my hormones. I am staying away from taking pills cause I prefer the natural way. I have tried other treatments like acupuncture and other chinese herbs which are by the way do not come in a cheap price tag, but doesnt seem to work and gave up on them. I am praying that this maca would make a difference. And oh, thanks by the way for the quick shipment. I will be postig an update in a few weeks.I put a half a tsp in my coffee every morning. Love this product! The taste is pretty good and I’ve gotten accustomed to having it in my daily cup. Also works well in smoothies etc
